Last Monday at 6pm I was withy my mum in the kitchen. We were preparing a chocolate cake for my brother because that day it was his birthday. We put the mixture in the oven and we waited in the living room while we were watching TV.
One hour later, we smelled burned. We forgot the oven! My mum went to the kitchen and she opened the door. But then, we saw fire! She closed the door tright away and she shearched two masks for us. We put wet clothes and tape on the sides of the door. Then, she went to the phone to call the firefighters but the cable was broken. So my mum called them with the mobile phone. They told us that we had to go out through the window. The situation was very frightened because the fire was growing. I was having trouble breathing because the smoke was everywhere. It was terrible!
My mum and I went to the street and waited for the firefighters. In the street, our neighborings were looking at what had happened. When the firefighters arrived, they took their hoses and they extinghished the fire. After that, many reporters came to ask my mum and I what had happened. We told them that the incident was very horrible but we had a lesson after the experience: "We must be careful with fire". We were fine but a little bit dizzy.
